Privacy Policy

Cyclar ("we," "us," or "our") operates the web application at cyclar.app and the marketing site at cyclar.co. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

By creating an account or using Cyclar, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google's OAuth service.

Financial data you enter. Cyclar stores the financial information you choose to enter: bill names, amounts, due dates, recurrence schedules, income sources, loan balances, payment records, and any notes you add. This data is private to your account and is never shared with third parties.

Subscription and billing information. If you subscribe to Cyclar Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details — Stripe handles and stores that information under their own privacy policy. We receive a record of your subscription status and billing history.

Usage information. We may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device type, and IP address when you access the app. This is used to maintain security and ensure the service works correctly. We do not use third-party analytics platforms to track your behavior across the web.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only with the service providers necessary to operate Cyclar:

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Cyclar or its users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our active systems. Stripe may retain billing records as required by their own legal obligations.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and row-level security on your financial data so that only your account can access it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
