Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cyclar (the "Service"), operated by Carlos Caballero ("we," "us," or "our"). The Service includes the web application at cyclar.app and the marketing site at cyclar.co.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cyclar. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at carlos@webdesignbycarlos.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose — tracking personal financial information such as bills, income, and debt. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without our prior written consent
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Free trial. New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all Pro features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial, your account transitions to the Free plan unless you subscribe to Pro.
Free plan. The Free plan is available at no charge and allows up to 5 recurring bills and 2 recurring income sources. One-time (ad-hoc) bills and income entries are always unlimited on the Free plan.
Pro plan. Cyclar Pro is available for $5.00 USD per month and provides unlimited recurring bills and income sources. Billing is monthly and processed by Stripe.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Changes to pricing. We reserve the right to change the subscription price with at least 30 days' notice. Notice will be delivered by email and/or a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into Cyclar. We do not claim any rights to your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. Cyclar is a tool to help you understand your finances — it does not provide financial advice, and the Service should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional financial guidance.
6. Data and Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at carlos@webdesignbycarlos.com. Upon deletion, your personal and financial data will be removed from our active systems. Stripe may retain billing records as required by law or their own policies.
7. Service Availability
We aim to keep Cyclar available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
